Named Networks

With the release of Remote. It Desktop and Portal version 3.12, a new feature for Networks is introduced.

Advantages of Networks:

  • Group various Services of different devices into a "Network" which you can share either through guest sharing or via organizations.
  • Can simplify sharing of individual services to different users by sharing the Network rather than individually selecting each service and adding and removing each user.
  • With the Business, Fleet or Enterprise plan, you can tag networks and create custom roles which can control permissions of users to that network (View, Connect, Manage, and Admin of users access to the network)

For example, situations where you would want to use networks in your organization. i.e. You want to limit access to specific services of some or all devices. For example, you are an IoT provider and have a support organization where you want to give access to an HTTP service but not the SSH service OR you have cloud resources and want to limit access by groups to databases or other services but not all. This is true Zero Trust Network Access and users can be controlled in a single dashboard.
