Generating a new Claim Code with the remoteit Device Package

The claim code that is generated upon installation of the remoteit Device Package is valid for 24 hours. Under certain circumstances you may wish to generate a new claim code on your device.

1) Delete the file /etc/remoteit/config.json
2) Reboot the device
3) Get the new claim code by running:

grep -i claim /etc/remoteit/config.json

For example:

shows a claim code of WG5F67JL.

Then proceed as described at Installing the remoteit Device Package by using the claim code in the Remote.It Desktop Application or the Remote.It web portal at https://app.remote.it to register your Device.
