Resetting your password will be required starting August 4th, 2020
remote.it System Update will occur at 3 PM PDT / 22:00 UTC
In preparation for enabling Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) it's necessary to update the remote.it authentication system. These changes will allow for a more secure login. However, to make these changes, all remote.it users must reset account passwords.
Requirements
To reset your password on August 4th, select "Forgot Your Password" to trigger a reset and a validation code will be e-mailed to you to confirm your account. This reset will initially only be required for users of the remote.it website portal but will eventually be required on our other applications (desktop, remote.itPi, and mobile) as well.
Once the password is reset it will affect ANY login attempt to remote.it using a password (api, installer, desktop, portal etc). However it will not affect or change your authhash. This means systems that are currently signed in, or any calls made with the authhash will be unaffected. Initially the reset will only be required when accessing the remote.it Web Portal.
These changes will take affect on August 4th, 2020 at 3PM PDT / 22:00 UTC.
NOTE: MFA will not be enabled on August 4th. MFA will be enabled at
a later date.
