Step 3. Find the Instance in

The next step in this process is to locate and connect to your newly created EC2 Instance using Once you connect to your Instance, you can use the Admin Panel to add connections to other Instances and Services within AWS.

Your EC2 Instance will be assigned a unique Instance ID in AWS. This Instance ID will be the name of the Instance in the Desktop App.

Your Instance will appear in your Device List after the Instance state changes to "Running" in the EC2 Console. This usually takes 1 to 3 minutes. 

As you can see, my new Instance has appeared in my Desktop App!


The Instance will already have the Admin Panel installed as a Service. Using the Admin Panel, you can add additional Services (like SSH) and use the Instance to create secure connections to other Instances and Services within AWS. Also, you can edit the Instance in and rename it so it's easier to keep track of it!

You can also share your Instance, or specific Services hosted on your Instance, with the Desktop App.
