You may see this message displayed in the Main Menu of the connectd_installer script.
The name of the file may differ but the causes are the same.
There are two possible causes:
1) You used a different account to register the device and its services than the one you just used to log into the installer script. In this case, just log into the correct account when running connectd_installer.
2) You used "Delete Device" from the "Actions" menu at the remote.it web portal's "View Devices" page. When you do this, the entries associating the services on the device with your account are deleted, but nothing happens on the device itself to clean up. We call this becoming "orphaned".
The most recent version of the connectd package includes menu options to recover from this situation. If you are using an older version of the package, keep reading to learn what to do.
To clean up orphaned services on a device, run the following command:
sudo rm /etc/connectd/services/*.conf
Now you can run connectd_installer again and start over with no configured Services on your Device.
If you would rather remove all remote.it connectd software from your device, then run:
sudo dpkg --purge connectd
